Wreaths Across America 2016, a movement that delivers holiday wreaths to the gravesites of veterans, is in full swing thanks in part to the contributions of the trucking industry. Through the American Trucking Association’s Share the Road Highway Safety program, truckers will help deliver more than 1.2 million wreaths to veterans’ graves across the nation this holiday season.

"The trucking industry has a longstanding tradition of honoring our nation's fallen heroes and Wreaths Across America is very much a part of that legacy," said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. "ATA is privileged to play a role in celebrating the lives of thousands of servicemen and servicewomen this holiday season and we are grateful for the continued security provided to us by America's active military personnel.”

Dozens of drivers who participate will also use this time to educate students and communities on the trucking industry’s importance to the economy and the need to honor the nation’s heroes. National Wreaths Across America Day is Dec. 17.

The drivers’ time as well as the trucks and fuel are all donated. Thanks to GPS fleet tracking, you can track the progress of Wreaths Across America in real time via Macropoint. Drivers are also chronicling their trip with videos and photos on Share the Road’s official Facebook and Twitter pages.
