We have seen America step up in a number of ways to help our brave truckers and commercial transport drivers. In this week’s edition of the latest feel good stories to know, check out recent treats for truckers and a powerful tribute to one of the industry’s unknown pioneers.

A Touching Tribute to a Trucking Company Patriarch

Although, not an American act of good, this update was too moving to not include. A trucking company patriarch and contributor to the transportation industry was honored this past week in the perfect way. Vernon Erb, founder of Erb Group of companies, was treated to an honorary parade of 300 long haulers in front of his Wilmot, Ontario, Canada home. The 84-year-old currently faces an aggressive form of cancer. Watch the touching tribute here.
Vernon Erb originally found his company in 1959 with a single dump truck. The company now has 1,500 employees and owner-operators, with terminals in Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba. We salute our friends in the North for this kind gesture and thank Vernon Erb for his contributions to the transportation industry.
