What are the most dangerous highways in the United States? The Teletrac Navman team analyzed fatality data gathered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on the U.S. numbered and interstate highway systems between 2016 and 2019. The data was analyzed from this four year period to find the 25 most dangerous highways in America, based on the number of traffic fatalities per mile of highway. The analysis also uncovers the deadliest time to be on each of these highways with a focus on the most common month, day of the month, day of the week, and even the most common single hour of the day for traffic fatalities to occur on the 25 deadliest highways.

Interstate 4, which runs through Florida, was once again found to be the most dangerous highway in the U.S. and was the only highway on the list that had a death per mile rate of more than one. Four interstates that run through Florida landed in the top ten on our list, making it home to some of the deadliest highways in America.
