They deployed 70 units across their fleet, each comprising a GPS fleet management tracking device, sensors, driver identity options, and a satellite modem.
Navman Wireless offers a live system IVMS, setting it apart from other options. Peter explains. The technology allows the company to monitor fleet movements, ensuring drivers are safe and well.
Peter explains that having immediate access to fleet information enables accurate tracking of truck arrival times. This flexibility allows them to adjust the schedule by adding more trucks and drivers for additional jobs, a capability that was not available before. All operations managers at Roma Transport use Teletrac Navman software on their computers and smartphones to monitor fleet details in real-time.
While using IVMS is a contractual requirement, there’s also an immense commercial outcome which offsets the cost of compliance.
