Teletrac Navman DIRECTOR® Prioritized for FedRAMP Authorization
The company’s product platform is first GPS fleet management solution to achieve FedRAMP Ready designation and be selected for full government cloud security assessment
GLENVIEW, Ill. – February 19, 2018 — Teletrac Navman, a global software-as-a-service provider that leverages location-based technology for GPS tracking solutions, in partnership with its subsidiary, Fleet Management Solutions (FMS), announced today that the DIRECTOR® product platform has achieved FedRAMP Ready status from the Federal Risk and Authorization Program (FedRAMP). Additionally, it has been prioritized to receive a Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO) from the Joint Authorization Board (JAB). DIRECTOR was one of five products chosen, out of several business cases submitted, to be sponsored by the JAB, FedRAMP’s primary decision-making body.
FedRAMP is a U.S. government-wide risk management program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services among federal agencies.
Following an initial round of rigorous technical reviews, DIRECTOR achieved FedRAMP moderate certification and security assessment by CIOs of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, General Services Administration and Department of Defense—all of whom comprise the JAB. Once a FedRAMP-authorized product, DIRECTOR will be certified as a highly secure third-party cloud solution and, therefore, eligible for procurement by all federal agencies.
